Co-founder of organic certifier NASSA in 1987, and author of certification standards and guidebooks. Deputy Chair of Organic Federation of Australia Board.

Tim has inspected/visited over 3000 organic farms (or farms in conversion) in Australia and 20 other countries. Tim was the first Certification and Standards Manager for the world peak body in organics IFOAM.

He has extensively trained thousands of people in organic practices, horticulture, land management, chemical safety, environmental safety and roadside/bushland management.

 

Doug has extensive experience as a company director and consulting in the small business sector, business management, planning and capital raising areas.

He is a member of the Organic Federation of Australia Traders and Intermediaries Advisory Board and has a wide experience in start-ups and high growth businesses.

Brad was formerly the Operations Manager of NASAA and brings with him;

  • organic certifier experience
  • planning and land management consultation skills
  • specialist indigenous/remote knowledge
  • technology background
 

Paul is a Agribusiness Commerce graduate and is a 25 year veteran of the Financial Services Industry where he has fulfilled roles of business and relationship management and financial and commercial analysis, Paul has had experience within the Rural Banking Unit at a leading regional bank gives him a valuable insight to the Agribusiness sector in South Australia.

Paul provides advice and support in the area of;

  • On-farm Business and financial management support.
  • Industry analysis
  • Cost/Benefit analysis
  • Investigation and reporting
Paul has an interest in the commercial implications of organic and bio-dynamic farming and has a desire to help farmers develop an understanding of the business of farming and to support their long term financial aims.

Ash is a qualified agronomist with specialist soil biology experitise.

Dr Ashley Martin, PhD, BSc(For)Hons, has an extensive knowledge and experience in the field of agricultural and soil microbiology, biological fertilisers, and sustainable agricultural practices. He has a Doctorate from the University of Adelaide (Waite) specialising in soil microbiology, an Honours Degree from the Australian National University in forest science and management and a Graduate Diploma in Communications (Writing) from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Recently, he has worked as a Certification Officer for the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia, and previously as a consultant agronomist with a sustainable agriculture business (Nutri-Tech Solutions), an Experimental Scientist with CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products, and a Research Officer with Agriculture NSW.

He has also owned and managed a successful horticulture business on the New South Wales Central Coast.
 

 

Louise comes to us with a broad range of skills across both web and information technology and has over 9 years experience in the management and re-development of South Australian government and small business web sites. Louise develops web sites with an emphasis on remote users, while taking into consideration accessibility issues.

Louise has always been passionate about permaculture, her other interests include: travel, reading and history.

Recently she has redeveloped her suburban garden to be self-sustaining and organic. 5 years ago Louise and a few friends started up an Our Patch group via the Mt Lofty NRM to revegetate a local creek, this group have now planted over 2,500 trees & shrubs along the Hackham South creekline in conjunction with the Hackham South Primary School.
