In 1994 when I decided to plant my vineyard, the only way for us was organic! as we already had the lifestyle to fit, living on solar power etc... Most people I spoke to only told me of the problem's I would face, "you will loose your entire crop" "organic vineyards are breading grounds for pests and diseases", despite this I continued sure we have had our challenges but more success than disappointment, in in 2007 we won best Australian shiraz under $25.00 in an open show, yes against all the people who were so critical.
