Organic Viticulture - Is it for you?
Organic Grapes This course has been designed to give you a practical understanding of what you need to do to convert a vineyard to organic and or biodynamic operation.

All aspects of organic viticulture production are covered including the following;

Factors affecting vineyard design and infrastructure
Organic and biodynamic techniques for soil fertility, pest and weed management
Production and handling requirements of organic wine
Planning for the conversion process
Business and budget aspects of conversion, organic and biodynamic production
Certification and compliance, including record keeping and the Organic Management Plan
Choosing a certifier and managing the certification process

The course is presented by Tim Marshall in conjunction with other TM Organics staff and an experienced organic producer on hand during the day. All participants receive a workbook and further resources.

Step 2. If you are seeking pre-approval from Farmready, submit your completed Application form to FarmReady at least 5 working days prior to the course. Download the Farmready forms here.

Step 3. If you are eligible, you will receive confirmation of pre-approval from Farmready. After attending the course, complete a claim form and submit, FarmReady will then assess your claim for reimbursement of up to 65% of the course fee, and other eligible expenses.
