Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS)

The AQIS Organic and Biodynamic program is responsible for the management of organic and biodynamic produce via a co-regulatory arrangement with AQIS approved certifying organisations.

Bio Suisse is the umbrella association of more than 30 organic farming organizations and about 6300 farms engaging in organic production in Switzerland (included 42 farms in Liechtenstein).

All products to be labeled as “organic products“ or similar definitions must meet the minimum requirements laid down in the Swiss Federal Ordinance on Organic Farming and the Labeling of Organic.
 

Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS)

In April 2001, the Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS) issued by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (MAFF) came into effect.

 

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP)

USDA LogoThe National Organic Program (NOP) is a stand-alone certification program developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). It came into effect in October 2002 to regulate organic production, processing and marketing in the US. Under the NOP regulations, all members of the supply chain must be certified to the NOP standard.
